For their biennial exhibition RBSA have teamed up with the charity Changing Faces. Over one million people in the UK have a condition, injury or illness affecting their appearance and Changing Faces provides emotional and practical support whilst campaigning for face equality. Part of this exhibition will therefore show how portraiture enables everyone to explore their response to disfigurement with confidence, by revealing the richness and diversity of faces. There will also be specially-selected artwork on show from the Changing Faces collection.
