Nature provides beautiful subjects for artists – from tiny wildflowers to magnificent trees. In this workshop you will draw and sketch from the grounds at Stephens House & Gardens, and experiment with unusual drawing tools such as twigs, sticks and found objects. Develop your skills, explore new techniques, loosen up and have fun.

Meet at the Stephens Room in Avenue House
10.00 – 10.30: Introduction and outline
10.30 – 12.30: Sketching outdoors*
12.30 – 1.30: Break for Lunch *
13.30 – 3.00: Finish up in the Stephens Room
* In case of rain, we will be working indoors from natural and photographic references, as well as the stunning view from the Stephens Room.
* Sunday Lunch is available to buy on site in the house. There is also a cafe at the grounds, or you are welcome to bring your own.
This workshop is for adults age 17 +. Materials not included (list available). Some experience with watercolour helpful.
